New year, new resolutions, new me! One of the most common New Year's resolutions is running. Of course, in the first two weeks of the new year, we are able to keep our promise, but then our motivation begins to weaken. What should you to do to develop a habit of regular exercise?
Here are some tips on how to enjoy running!
1. Prepare everything you need in advance. It is important to prepere your running clothes, shoes, mp3, etc. in the evening if you are going for a run next morning. This will help you speed up your morning preparation and minimize the risk of letting go!
2. Search for new running spots. New views will surely put you in a better mood, and running will make you associate with something pleasant.
3. Make a list of songs that put you in a good mood or motivate you to work harder. Save them on your phone or mp3.
4. Control your results. Make a board on which you can write your goals. Try to achieve them, but not at any cost! If you feel your body needs rest, give it to it. When you come back to running, do your best. A smart band can be very helpful in tracking your progress.
5. Learn to enjoy running. You don't need to hit a super speed after a month of exercise! Regular physical activity in the fresh air should give you joy and satisfaction.
6. Find someone with whom you will enjoy running. Maybe a colleague from work will be interested or your partner, children can also be good partners - sometimes they will need the support of a scooter or a bicycle :)
7. Carefully consider the benefits of outdoor exercise:
-Protects your brain against premature aging, thus helping to prevent or postpone some of the diseases of old age.
-Relieves stress and tension in everyday life.
-It helps to maintain a healthy body and a slimmer figure.
And these are just some of the benefits of regular exercise.
8. Visualize yourself exercising regularly. How do you look? How do you feel? What distance are you able to run? How do you feel when you do something that not every human being is able to do?
I think now you are motivated enough to start your jogging journey! You already know how to get started and how to stay motivated after a while. Good luck.
